UNITEC Apple Sort 3 technology installed at TRES ASES.
Double trust in UNITEC demonstrated by Gabriel Grisanti, director general of the Argentinean center of Fruits & Vegetables of Patagonia, TRES ASES: a will to invest in a new system, more technological and innovative, and on a line operational for years.. An installation, in fact, which after 12 years is still "in perfect condition", as defined by Grisanti, expressing one of the characteristics that customers always recognize with UNITEC technologies: longevity and reliability over time.
"We decided to install the Apples Sort 3 vision system from UNITEC on our 2007 UNITEC grader to stay on top of technology and to optimize the entire processing process. The UNITEC grader on which we installed the vision system was in perfect condition, and that made it easier! " commented Gabriel Grisanti.
"We believe that the Apples Sort 3 system has enabled us to reach the standardization levels required today by the market in which we operate. With the installation of Apples Sort 3, we have achieved significant results. The main and the most important was the achievement of homogeneity and uniformity in the final product. "
Apples Sort 3, in fact, enabled TRES ASES to obtain apples characterized by extreme homogeneity in each final confection and absolute uniformity between one confection and the other: Apples' classes of constant quality in each supply and at over time. It is thanks to the ability of this system to classify the quality of apples with great reliability and according to a multiplicity of parameters: external quality, defects in shape, size and color.
Apples Sort 3 allows fruit to be divided according to conservation and distribution needs in the various destination markets and to offer end consumers quality apples that meet their tastes and expectations. Achieving quality consistency was not the only benefit that Apples Sort 3 achieved.
"With the integration of Apple Sort 3, in addition to the standardization of the final product, we have obtained significant benefits: greater product improvement, increased overall productivity and easier supervision by our staff."
Apples Sort 3, in fact, thanks to its degree of automation, has led to significant savings in labor costs. And not only that: adopting this new technological upgrade from UNITEC has enabled the Fruits & Vegetables plant to achieve a decisive increase in production efficiency. In addition, Ms. Grisanti emphasized the ease of use of this system, which allows staff to interact with the software and the system as a whole with great ease, making the whole process efficient and easier to oversee.
"The words with which I would describe the UNITEC group after these years of important experience - concluded Gabriel Grisanti - are: reliability, support and efficiency."
