In Athens, China and Greece have signed a dozen agreements in the port, tourism, energy and agricultural sectors.
During an official visit to Greece, Chinese President Xi Jinping signed with the Greek authorities about ten agreements in the ports, tourism, energy and agricultural products sectors.
China and Greece "are natural partners" for the creation of the "One Belt, one Road" initiative, said the Chinese president. The two countries will cooperate in many sectors and "we want to strengthen the transit role of the port of Piraeus to develop bilateral trade".
Among the agreements signed and in the field of agriculture, the General Directorate of Chinese Customs will allow the export of Greek kiwis and saffron produced in the region of Kozani, a small town in the north of the country.
