Increase of Pakistan's exports

Exports of food products from Pakistan increased by 35% in recent months.

 
For almost a year, food exports from Pakistan recorded very good results. On average, exports increased by 35%. The trade balance is positive for all sectors: rice, wheat, meat, fish, fruit and vegetables.

 
Exports of vegetables increased by 38% from 427,821 tons to 590,503 tons and their value have almost doubled from Rs 9.2 million to Rs 17.6 million. Fruit exports recorded an increase of 19% from Rs18.8 billion to Rs 22.9 billion, while the quantity decreased by 5%, from 646,516 tons to 612,952 tons.
