Earthbound Farm to buy competitor

Earthbound Farm, America's largest grower-shipper of organic produce plans to buy the marketing and manufacturing arms competitor Pride of San Juan. Starting in April, Earthbound will run Pride of San Juan's 18,000m² processing plant in San Juan Bautista (California) and the company's marketing arm. The majority of Pride of San Juan's customers are involved in food service, while Earthbound's market includes mostly retail customers.
