Record level of apples export

According to preliminary data from Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) in January 2009 Poland exported 91 thousand tons of apples at value 23.9 million euro.
In January last year the export of apples amounted to 31.4 thousand tons at value 12.9 million euro. It means that volume of export was three times bigger year-on-year and its value was higher by over 80 %. Majority of Polish apples was exported to Russia and Ukraine.
