The 11th edition of Interpoma, the only apple show in the world, ended on November 17th. During its 3 days, the fair welcomed professionals from more than 70 different countries, which confirms the city of Bolzano as the world capital of the apple.
This 2018 edition was the most international of all editions of the event. According to the organizers, Interpoma 2018 had 489 exhibitors from 24 countries and hosted more than 20,000 visitors from more than 70 different countries.
The traditional international conference "The apple in the world" presented this year in a new format: sessions taking place only the first 2 days of the show. Twenty specialists from around the world have held various conferences on the sector's developments.
"The topics discussed at the congress attracted a lot of interest from visitors: from the emerging producing countries of the East, to India as a future market potential, organic farming methods and the enhancement of integrated culture, 'to the question of apple varieties of the future,' explains Thomas Mur, Director of Fiera Bolzano.
