Florida strawberry crop looks promising

Despite late planting, Florida strawberry growers are reported a good quality crop.
The hurricanes last autumn delayed planting and the crop is slightly behind last year. Harvest began in late November and should be finished in early April, with quality reported to be better than last year.
Meanwhile heavy rainfall in Southern California caused some fruit damage and delayed harvest, though production in recent weeks has increased.
