2025 expected volumes of production are similar or slightly lower than 2024, when they reached 3,4 million tons. They included 2,24 million tones of peaches and 1,16 million tons of nectarines. Spain remains the first producer between 1,3 and 1,4 million tons over the last 2 years, followed by Italy about 1 million tons, Greece around 600,000 tons and France 230,000 tons. Production areas have declined in Spain and Italy about 20% over the last 10 years to 68,000ha and 53,000ha respectively. Investments on new varieties helped maintain or even improve the export value of each country, like with flat fruit. Greece and France have maintained their production area around 40,000 and 10,000 ha respectively.
