Opening of registration for the Europatat Congress 2014

The Congress will focus on the theme "On the way to 2020".

Europatat announces the opening of registration for its annual Europatat Congress which will take place in Brussels (Belgium) on 22-23 May, 2014. The Congress will focus on the coming challenges for the trade of potatoes.

On the program: on Thursday, reports of Europatat activities during two sessions of the different committees (seed potato storage, early potatoes, packaging, technical and regulatory issues). Interventions of professionals include Kate Cox (Potato Council) who will speak about communication activities of the industry conducted in the United Kingdom and Dick Zelhorst (Aviko) who will examine trends in the processing industry.

On Friday, plenary session with experts, Joeri Van den Bergh (Insites Consulting), Virginia Pernin (GIRA Foodservice) and Ladislav Miko, Deputy and Director General for the food chain at the European Commission.
