Blueberry week in Argentina

In Argentina October and November are the months with the highest production of blueberries. ABC (Argentinean Blueberry Committee) has launched the 4th edition of "Blueberry Week" which aims to encourage national consumption.

 

 

 

This “Blueberry Week” runs from October 19 to 25 and emphasizes the slogan “Mejor con arándanos” / better with blueberries. Market operations, displays, games offered on social networks, gastronomic proposals in bars and restaurants across the country, television shows to present blueberry-based recipes and publicize its properties.

 

 

 

Due to the pandemic and health measures, most of the actions are also taking place virtually. Social networks @mejorconarandanos are posting videos of the entire production process to provide detailed information on how blueberries in Argentina are harvested, packaged and distributed.

 

 

 

Thanks to the 3 previous editions of the event, the national consumption of blueberries has increased thanks in particular to a stronger presence of products in grocery stores and supermarkets.
