AVA-ASAJA publishes new safety manuals for farm workers

The guides focus on the safe use of commonly used agricultural tools, including manual brushcutters, electric pruning shears and pruning chainsaws.
The Valencian Farmers’ Association (AVA-ASAJA) has published three new training manuals aimed at improving workplace safety in agriculture.
The guides focus on the safe use of manual brushcutters, electric pruning shears and pruning chainsaws, tools widely used in farming that require proper training to avoid accidents.
Developed together with the Agricultural Joint Prevention Service and funded by the Valencian regional government, the manuals explain common risks linked to these tools and provide guidance on correct use, basic maintenance and safe working practices. They also include advice on ergonomics and accident prevention during pruning and clearing work.
The materials are designed for both farm workers and trainers involved in agricultural training programmes.
The manuals are available for download on the AVA-ASAJA website, where users can also access a virtual assistant on farm safety that answers questions using verified sources on occupational risk prevention in agriculture.
