Thailand and Pakistan to develop trade

Thailand will strengthen business with Pakistan and could open its market to Pakistani fruits.

A large delegation came to Thai companies in Pakistan with trade issues between the two countries the focus of meetings and a major project will be implemented to strengthen economic relations.

A Thai food company is to invest in Pakistan and thus help attract further investment. Thailand will consider opening its market to fruit from Pakistan. A Joint Trade Committee will be formed to expand and strengthen trade and cooperation between the two countries and Thailand could help Pakistan in food processing to increase shelf life of fruits and vegetables.

Free trade should accelerate the exchanges between the two countries. Annual trade between Thailand and Pakistan is valued at $1 billion.
