The main wholesale markets in the Emilia Romagna region (Bologna, Parma, Rimini, Cesena) will come together. The region and the municipalities have given their consent.
Launched a year and a half ago, the merger project is progressing. The Regional Council and the municipalities have just approved it, the protocol aims to activate the network between the agrifood poles and the wholesale markets of the Region. To promote cooperation, the integration of strategies at the commercial and organizational level, jointly promoting initiatives for development, especially in foreign markets.
This protocol unites the Emilia Romagna region and the companies that manage the wholesale markets: Centro agroalimentare di Bologna (Caab), Centro agroalimentare riminese (Caar), Centro agroalimentare e logistica di Parma (Cal), Filiera ortofrutticola romagnola Spa.
This merger of the 4 main wholesale markets (Bologna, Parma, Rimini, Cesena) in the region will constitute a new major player in the fruit and vegetable market.
