Japan becomes main buyer of Taiwan’s mangoes in 2025

Taiwan mango exports show steady growth across key markets.
Taiwan’s mango exports are finding strong demand overseas, with Japan emerging as the biggest buyer this year. Between January and July, Taiwan shipped 1,510 tonnes of mango products worth nearly US$8.95 million, according to local media.
Japan took the lead, importing over 500 tonnes valued at US$5.08 million. The United States ranked second with 463 tonnes worth US$1.28 million, while South Korea bought 141 tonnes for about US$1.1 million.
Last year, Taiwan exported 3,658 tonnes of mangoes and related products, with Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong being the top markets.
