Egypt recovers its trade deficit

The trade deficit of Egypt decreased by approximately 24.9% in January 2016, according to a report released Tuesday by CAPMAS (Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics).
The trade balance is an economic measure of the difference in value between imports and exports of a country during a given period. According to CAPMAS the trade deficit totaled 22.3 billion EGP in January 2016, down sharply compared to 29.67 billion EGP recorded in January 2015.
According to the Agency, the value of certain exports increased, fresh oranges + 28.3%, fresh apples + 5.9% and other fresh fruit 13.6%.
