Durian prices stable with small regional variations in Vietnam

Vietnam continues to monitor durian price movements as local and export demand influence trends across multiple regions and varieties.
Durian prices across Vietnam remained mostly stable on 10 June 2025, with minor changes depending on variety and region. Prices ranged from 25,000 to 125,000 VND (1.00–5.00 USD) per kilogram in the Southwest (Mekong Delta), Southeast, and Central regions.
Key price updates:
Ri6: 44,000–48,000 VND/kg (1.76–1.92 USD/kg) (no change)
Ri6 Grade B: 30,000–34,000 VND/kg (1.20–1.36 USD/kg) (slight decrease in Southwest)
Ri6 Grade C: 25,000–28,000 VND/kg (1.00–1.12 USD/kg) (unchanged)
Ri6 VIP: 55,000–60,000 VND/kg (2.20–2.40 USD/kg) (unchanged)
Thai durian: 78,000–88,000 VND/kg (3.12–3.52 USD/kg) (mixed changes depending on region)
Thai durian VIP A: increased to 100,000 VND/kg (4.00 USD/kg)
Thai durian VIP B: stable at 70,000–85,000 VND/kg (2.80–3.40 USD/kg)
Musang King: 110,000–125,000 VND/kg (4.40–5.00 USD/kg) (unchanged)
Lam Dong Province update:
The local government advised against unplanned expansion of durian planting and encouraged better management of production and processing.
Lam Dong plans to expand total fruit-growing area to 51,000 hectares by 2030, with durian covering 25,800 hectares and expected output of 270,000 tons. Key production areas include Di Linh, Da Huoai, Bao Lam, Dam Rong, Da Teh, Lam Ha, and Cat Tien.
The province aims to promote sustainable farming and increase use of advanced technology across 12,000 hectares to improve yield and export potential.
