Peru continues to strengthen its position as one of the main exporters of blueberries worldwide, thanks to the rapid development of new varieties. In the 2023-2024 campaign, the country had more than 65 different varieties of this fruit, according to the ProArándanos association.
In a recent report, ProArándanos revealed the five main varieties of blueberries exported to different markets during the 2024-2025 campaign, up to week 33.
In the United States, the Sekoya Pop and Ventura varieties lead exports with 1,276 and 968 tons, respectively, followed by Biloxi and Eureka Sunrise.
In Europe, Ventura and Biloxi top the list, while in China, Sekoya Pop dominates with 874 tons, followed by Biloxi and Arana.
The United Kingdom shows a preference for the Ventura and Rocio varieties, while in other markets Arana and Emerald stand out.
