Bananas production is supposed to be increasing

The production in volume is estimated in net increase , of 13 000 tonnes of bananas.

The company PHP ( Upper Penja Plantations ), a subsidiary of the group in Cameroon Fruitière Compagnie ( France ) anticipates production in 2015 of 170 000 tonnes of bananas. Therefore, the company would record an increase of 13 000 tons from its 2014 production totaled in 157,000 tons.

PHP is the No. 1 producer of bananas in Cameroon , with production of just over half of Cameroon's total production. The plantations operated by PHP covering 3,000 hectares and will still grow. The last project is the creation of a banana plantation is 800 hectares ( Dehane region).
