China and Chile make debut at Agadir SIFEL

The 9th edition of Sifel, 8-11 December in Agadir, will see the participation of China and Chile for the first time.

A strong international focus is predicted with many exhibitors and visitors from Germany, France, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Italy. This year the SIFEL will host participants from China and Chile, countries that are very interested in the potential of Morocco.

Also new is the name change;  after 8 editions under the name of Sifel Morocco, the show is now Sifel Agadir. Agadir and its region as the largest agricultural exporter wants to take advantage of this name change.
 
According APEFEL, the show has greatly contributed to the development of Moroccan exports. Exports of fruits and vegetables increased from 740,000 tons in 2001/2002 to over 1.2 million tons in 2010/2011.
