The Green Giant Fresh® brand vegetables by Church Brothers Farms

Church Brothers Farms, the U.S. producer of fresh vegetables, expands its value-added offerings in the retail segment by introduction of five new items under the Green Giant Fresh brand. Among new products: Sweet baby cauliflower, Sweet baby broccoli, Butternut squash, Spaghetti squash and Sweet potato.

The Sweet Baby vegetable line consists of sweet baby cauliflower in a 10-ounce bag (near 300 grams bag) and sweet baby broccoli in an 8-ounce bag (near 240 grams bag). Both vegetables are washed and ready to eat with a shelf life of 16 days.

Rick Russo, senior vice president of sales and marketing, said, “These new items give retailers the opportunity to build a Sweet Baby category. Their uniform stand up pouches look great side by side on the shelf.”

16-ounce bags (near 480 grams bags) of Butternut squash, Spaghetti squash and Sweet potato represent a line of vegetables in cubes, which will further satisfy consumers’ needs with Cauliflower Crumbles® and Cauliflower Crumbles® Fried Rice.

“Our goal is to deliver fresh, healthy food that is prepped and ready to use for consumers looking to bring restaurant-style dishes into their home. The cubed veggies are a fresh take on favorite fall vegetables. We are excited to deliver nutrition and flavor to shoppers at affordable prices,” added Mr Russo.

Church Brothers Farms is a fully integrated agribusiness from seed to salad bowl in Salinas Valley, CA agriculture. A family owned company produces a full line of fresh vegetables year round with an in-house farming/harvest program and state-of-the-art processing plant, True Leaf farms. The last allows the company to offer their customers a year-round product line of both value added and direct field pack commodities.
