Local products increasingly popular

ADFSC, Abu Dhabi Farmers' Services Centre, conducted a survey and interviewed a total of 800 people resident in the UAE . The results show that local products are now recognized and appreciated.

Nearly three quarters of all consumers surveyed say they buy local fruits and vegetables for their freshness. The majority agreed that local fruits and vegetables are produced in a manner that respects the environment. They are 13% higher (compared to the previous survey in 2011) to recognize that local products are of good quality, healthy and safe, fresher and more nutritious than imported products.

ADFSC conducted this study to on one hand, evaluate the perception of consumers towards local products and secondly , the impact of the brand launched in November 2012: LOCAL HARVEST.

LOCAL HARVEST offers fresh local products from farms in Abu Dhabi : fruits, vegetables , dates, honey , but also meat and poultry that are available in hypermarkets and supermarkets, as well as online through a website.
