Poland featured at the 11th Agriculture Mersin Fair

With 90 participants, 150 different brands on display and more than 40 000 Turkish and foreign visitors, this fair is important for Mersin, located in a highly agricultural area, 80 percent of producer of citrus from Turkey, but has diversified its products, strawberries, organic products, bananas to increase its share of the export market. It is also in second position for greenhouse agriculture.
From a logistical standpoint, Mersin is a particularly important port with its free zone, welcoming and sending pulses around the world, accounting for 90 percent in the Turkish export legumes.
This event is an opportunity to show new products, new technologies, but also a contact point for buyers and farmers.
Poland was also the rendezvous with the commercial attaché of the Polish Embassy in Turkey, Mr. Konrad Zablocki, who stressed how important it was for Poland to maintain good trade relations with a region that can meet all his needs in fruits and vegetables. He also added that these last two years, the two countries have managed to increase their sales of a billion dollars and trade figure walked in both directions, for the benefit of both parties
