A brand-new color that took its 'inventor', based in the northern state of Queensland, Australia, around 5 years to develop.
Australian media report that Levon Cookson, agronomy researcher and breeder at Arable Field Research Pty Ltd in Bowen, Queensland, has developed a brand-new 'chocolate' bell pepper.
This is a reference to its unusual color, not to any chocolate taste. Although this bell pepper is 2 times sweeter than a traditional bell pepper, according to Levon Cookson, who hopes it will encourage more people to eat peppers.
