Fruit Logistica a special reason to celebrate for Landgard
The leading German horticulture cooperative will be celebrating the 10 years of “1000 good reasons” campaign in Hall 2 0, Stand B-11.
This year, the focus is particularly on products and producers that illustrate the cooperative's broad sourcing portfolio – from regional production companies to national and international products. Trade visitors from all over the world can discover exciting highlights from the range of fresh produce on offer and get a comprehensive overview of the diverse sourcing network
international sourcing, SBTi-certified sustainability targets
Landgard stand also shows how creative concepts, brands and licence partnerships such as ‘IssReifer’, ‘Banamigo’, ‘IssSO’, ‘IssBio’, ‘Landlust’, ‘Bloss’, ‘Evelina’ and ‘Xenia’ are attracting even more attention to fruit and vegetables. In addition to fruit and vegetables, this year's Landgard trade fair portfolio also includes popular herbs and, for the first time, fresh flowers and plants. The new food retail area concept ‘Blumenwerk’ offers customers from the food retail sector a special range of handmade bouquets, single-flower bouquets and pot plants.
Sustainable goals, scientifically based
A central topic for the future of the fruit and vegetable industry is the implementation of sustainable solutions for CO2 reduction. As part of its comprehensive sustainability strategy, Landgard has been consistently pursuing this path for years and has had its own targets validated by the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) With clearly defined, scientifically based reduction targets, the producer cooperative has set itself the goal of providing decisive impetus to sustainably minimise harmful greenhouse gas emissions along the global supply chains for fresh fruit and vegetables.
Celebrating 10 years of “1000 good reasons” initiative
In 2025, the ‘1000 good reasons’ initiative celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since 2015, the generic initiative has been particularly inspiring young people and showing why there are far more than ‘1000 good reasons’ to love delicious fresh products Behind the ‘1000 good reasons’ are around 2,800 producers from Germany and around the world, who deliver first-class quality and have a common mission: to inspire even more people with the diversity and freshness of fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants.
Space for partnership-based dialogue
‘Of course, Fruit Logistica is always the ideal opportunity for us to exchange ideas with important customers, production companies and industry partners on key topics for the 2025 fruit and vegetable year. That's why our stand this year offers even more space for expert discussions and partnership-based dialogue,’ says Oliver Daniel, Managing Director of Landgard West Fruit & Vegetables.
1000 good reasons launched in 2015 for flowers
There are 1000 good reasons to give a loved one or yourself a treat with flowers and plants, because flowers and plants are simply part of life. The ‘Flowers – 1000 good reasons’ initiative is committed to refreshing the image of the products, to getting people more excited about flowers and plants again and to showing them new, exciting reasons to buy.
