Mango exports increase by 38% year-over-year

Peruvian exports of fresh mango from May to December 27, 2021 reached 65.000 tons, which means an increase of 38% compared to the 47.000 tons exported in the same period of last year, according to the president of the consulting firm Inform@ccion, Fernando Cillóniz Benavides.
It should be noted that the Peruvian mango season runs from November to March, with the peak in January. Piura, Lambayeque and Ancash are the main producing and exporting regions.
Cillóniz specified that in November Peru exported 12,910,834 kilos of mango, and 47,965,301 kilos in December.
The main destinations remain the Netherlands, Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Republic of Korea, among others.
