SENAVE (Paraguay's National Plant and Seed Quality and Health Service) announced the export of Paraguayan bananas to Chile, marking a milestone for national agriculture. Some 23 tons of fruit arrived at Puerto Terrestre de Los Andes on April 2 from Finca Vy'a Renda in Yrybucua, San Pedro.
The exact volume exported was 22,176 kg, according to SENAVE. This achievement is not only important for Paraguay's banana sector, but also demonstrates the government's commitment to supporting local producers.
With 12,000 hectares dedicated to banana cultivation, mainly in Caaguazú, San Pedro and Cordillera, Paraguay shows its agricultural potential and its capacity to compete in the international market.
