Bananas: Cambodia's exports drop in volume

The decline in export volumes was mainly due to unfavorable weather conditions that affected production.

 

Local media report that, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, the country exported 263,117 tonnes of bananas between January and November 2023. This represents a variation of -23.84% compared with the 345,470 tonnes exported over the same period in 2022.

 

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2022 the country had exported 367,400 tonnes of fresh bananas, including 330,000 tonnes to China, over 36,000 tonnes to Vietnam and over 2,800 tonnes to Japan.
