Fruit exports will target 8 markets

The Abrafrutas Apex-Brasil and organizations will aim 8 target markets to increase exports.

Abrafrutas, the association of exporting producers and Apex-Brasil, the investment promotion agency, have identified eight target markets: the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Hong Kong, Russia, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, and France.

Among the actions envisaged various promotions in these countries to improve their position in these markets. And to increase Brazilian exports are still low.

Brazil is the third largest producer of fruits in the world, after China and India, but its exports account for only 2% of its production. The annual value of about $ 650 million and the goal is to double that amount in 5 years.
