Peru’s blueberry exports approach $1 billion by August

Peru exported US$988.42 million worth of blueberries between January and August 2026, up 45.6% from US$678.67 million in the same period of 2025, according to Agrodata.

Export volume reached 147,284 tonnes, increasing 37.2% year on year. The average export price rose to US$6.71/kg, from approximately US$6.32/kg.

August was the strongest month of the period, with exports worth US$437.88 million on shipments of 59,710 tonnes. This compares with US$330.69 million and 47,108 tonnes in August 2025.

The United States was the largest destination, accounting for around US$509.79 million. The Netherlands followed with US$204.62 million, while China received US$70.59 million and the United Kingdom US$53.16 million.
