Expected increase in production of pears

It is estimated that the production of pears in Argentina is growing by 3% according to WAPA (World Apple and Pear Association).

The Argentine production would amount to 828,000 tonnes this year. Far ahead of South Africa (363,000 tons), Chile (191,000 tons) and Australia (129,000 tons).

The production of pears in the Southern hemisphere should increase by 2%, with a volume of 1.52 million tons, and exports are expected to rise by 5%, with a volume of 749,821 tons.
