All watermelons produced are not allowed in exportation.

Only those produced in greenhouses in the region of Antalya, in southern Turkey , responding to the quality standard TS / 1132 can be exported from 8th of May 2015, according to the decision taken by the Commission for determining the maturity of fruit.

The Turkish watermelon is competing with the domestic Irani watermelon.
