Harvest Record for pears Rincón de Soto

Pear Rincón de Soto, the first DOP obtained in Spain in 2002, recorded its best production results.

Pear Rincón de Soto (DOP Protegida Designation of Origin) breaks his own record of production. The campaign totaled 14,155,234 pounds, against 10,522,712 pounds in 2012. An increase of just over 30% compared to the previous year.

FEPEX, the Spanish Federation of Producers and Exporters of fruits and vegetables, predicts a 10% growth in internal market. The appelation Rincón de Soto predicts a greater progression. Already last year (2012-2013), the percentage of sales was 13% greater than that achieved in 2011-2012.
