The third estimate of table grape exports foresees 12% YOY growth
VU
The third estimate of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Table Grapes of Peru (Provid) indicates that exports of Peruvian table grapes in the 2021/2022 campaign would exceed 64 million boxes (8.2 kilos/box), which would mean a 12% year-over-year increase.
The rise in exports is mainly due to varietal diversification intended to meet international demand.
In particular, an increase in exports of white seedless varieties (37%) and red seedless varieties (22%) is expected.
The main destination markets are the United States, China, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Mexico, South Korea and Canada.
It should be noted that Provid's first estimate for the current campaign projected exporting 62.5 million boxes of table grapes.
