The "Domaine des Loveresses" building new greenhouses
After hail damage, the "Domaine des Loveresses" in Swiss' s Vaud region was left with nothing but a ghost of a greenhouse. After several months of looking for architects and contractors, Mr. Philippe Cornu, company G.M., has decided to start the re-construction.
The "Domaine des Loveresses" is a family owned and ran company who grows broccoli, witloof, calliflower, tomatoes, and lettuces. The company grows witloof roots on 60 Ha of land, earth grown tomatoes in 1.5 Ha of tunnels, as well as 1.5 Ha of greenhouses. The calliflowers cover 15 Ha of land, which in turn leaves 8 Ha left for the broccoli.
The "Domaine des Loveresses gathers 20 to 40 employees, and is responsible for 2500 tons of witloof per year under the Swiss & Diva brand and 2500 tons of tomatoes under the Swiss Red brand name. The calliflower and broccoli crop usually reach about 900 tons per year.
