Why İzmir is now home to Eurasia’s leading fresh produce expo

Since its launch in 2018, Interfresh Eurasia has steadily grown into one of Türkiye’s most influential fresh produce exhibitions. Originally held in Antalya, the event made a major move to İzmir in 2024 due to ongoing infrastructure challenges at the previous venue. While the decision wasn’t easy, recent results prove it was the right one.

The relocation has marked a turning point — not just in logistics, but in international reach. Despite global economic uncertainties and regional frost conditions this year, Interfresh successfully boosted both the number and quality of its exhibitors. Participation from international guests also surged: from 44 countries in 2023 to 55 in 2024, with over 70 countries already expected for the 2025 edition.

Exhibitor attendance rose by over 20%, including strong representation from every part of Türkiye and new participants from Europe and the Far East. As Türkiye strengthens its role as a gateway between Europe and Asia, the 2025 edition will showcase even more companies from across Asia, particularly those introducing cutting-edge packaging and machinery solutions.

A highlight for this year will be the growing presence of exotic fruits, not only imported but also cultivated within Türkiye — especially from the Alanya and Mersin regions. Visitors can expect a vibrant display of tropical varieties grown locally and abroad.

This year also welcomes a special delegation from the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, a key institution in Northern Cyprus with over 5,000 members. Their presence supports efforts to promote Cypriot agricultural products and develop international partnerships across sectors like food, manufacturing, tourism, and finance.

Interfresh Eurasia continues to raise the bar as a platform for fresh produce, innovation, and global trade — and İzmir is now firmly at the heart of that mission.
