Purple corn export value increased in 2021

In 2021, Peruvian purple corn exports totaled 1,071,421 kilos, worth $1,661,004, according to Agrodata. It is a slight decrease in volume but growth in value compared to the 1,260,349 kilos and $1,564,228 achieved in 2020.
The United States was the main recipient of these supplies in 2021, with placements for $937,119, constituting 56% of the total.
Other destinations: Spain with $255,476, Ecuador with $148,242, Chile with $98,564, Belgium with $55,358, Canada with $46,259, Italy with $40,502, Japan with $36,562 and others with smaller amounts that together totaled $42,923.
