In Armenia, the agricultural season is in full swing and fruit and vegetable exports are performing well.
According to the Ministry of Economy, exports of agricultural products are proceeding without major problems. Traffic is normal at border checkpoints and deliveries to foreign markets are made on time. At the beginning of July, the country had already exported 13,000 tonnes of apricots, nearly 3,200 tonnes of cherries, 21,000 tonnes of tomatoes and 800 tonnes of strawberries.
In total, nearly 58,000 tonnes of fruit and vegetables. This is a level 15% lower than that of the same period of 2019. The worst performance comes from apples. This year only 5,500 tonnes of apples were exported, while in the same period of 2019 the number was 11,500 tonnes.
