Chilean fruit exports increase by 10.9% year-over-year

In the current fruit export season in Chile, which started in September 2021 and will last until the end of August 2022, shipments as of November 22 reached 25.234.081 boxes, which is 10.89% higher than that exported in the same period of last season. This was informed by the Chilean Fruit Exporters Association (ASOEX).
The leading export fruits are avocados (+16.26%), oranges (+64.05%), mandarins (+37.47%), apples (+4.98%), kiwis (+95.29%), cherries (-53%), blueberries ( -50%), lemons (+40.8%), and pears (+77.8%).
The main destinations are the US with 34% of total shipments, and Europe (33%), followed by Latin America (21%), and the Far East (11%).
