The Lemon Festival In Menton will run until March 7.
The town of Menton, famous for its lemons is home to an internationally unique festival: the Lemon Festival. The 79th edition which has just opened, will run until 7 March and expects 250,000 visitors.
The Lemon Festival involves more than 300 professionals and requires 145 tons of citrus. Decorated floats will parade through the streets as well and sculptures will be erected in town garden.
These giant sculptures required thousands of hours of work to lay the fruit one top of one another to reach 10 m high.
