This company, which a part of the shares belong to Turkish holding Esas Holding, was bought in early June by the company Bridgepoint, worth about $ 110 million, according to sources.
Peyman is a company founded in 1995 in Eskisehir, in north-western Turkey, where it still has a factory in operation. 30 percent of Peyman shares had been acquired by Esas in 2008. Peyman is one of the leader companies in the dried fruit market in Turkey, with exporting its products to over 30 countries, mainly in the Middle East, the Balkans and Central Asia.
Reuters estimates the dried fruit market in Turkey to approximately reach € 2 billion per year.
The company Bridgepoint says that the Turkish market is one of the most interesting in the world due to fast moving consumer goods, because of its growing population, its economic size and an emerging middle class.
The expansion of Peyman will accelerate further through the British company investments.
