The campaign targeted consumers through ten stores of premium retailer.
Chilean kiwifruit has been promoted for the first time in Goa through a campaign organized by Frutas de Chile with support from ProChile India, according to Frutas de Chile.
The promotion ran from July 10 to August 10 across ten MagSon supermarkets, using dedicated displays and in-store promotional activities to introduce Chilean kiwifruit to consumers in the Indian state.
The initiative forms part of Chile’s effort to broaden the geographic reach of its kiwifruit business in India. Carlos Cruzat, president of the Chilean Kiwi Committee, said annual shipments to the country have grown from about 700 tonnes to 16,000 tonnes over the past decade. The industry aims to double that volume over the next ten years by developing demand in more Indian cities.
India was already Chile’s third-largest export market for kiwifruit in 2025. Shipments were valued at US$31 million that year, 47% higher than in 2024.
Frutas de Chile said its market development strategy also includes digital promotion through social media and influencers, alongside expansion into new regions. The goal is to grow demand in parallel with future increases in export volumes rather than concentrating sales in a limited number of Indian markets.
