Peru avocado exports reach $1.28 billion through July 2026

Higher average prices supported export value as shipment growth remained more moderate.
Peru exported $1.279 billion worth of avocados between January and July 2026, with shipments reaching 688.4 million kg, according to Agrodata.
Compared with the same seven months of 2025, export value increased about 7.4%, while volume rose 4%. The average export price for the 2026 period stood at $1.86/kg.
The Netherlands was the leading destination, accounting for 36% of export value at $465.9 million, followed by Spain with $234.7 million (18%). The United States and Chile each represented about 9%, with shipments valued at $119.8 million and $109.7 million, respectively. The United Kingdom accounted for 8% and China for 6%.
In July alone, exports totaled $228.3 million and 129.0 million kg, compared with $236.1 million and 145.6 million kg a year earlier. The average July price increased to $1.77/kg, from $1.62/kg in July 2025.
