New record for sales of organic products

 

 

 

In the US, sales of organic produce have achieved a turnover of USD 43.3 billion in 2015. An increase of 11% compared to the previous year and 3% growth compared to entire food market.

 

 

 

 

 

Demand for Fruits & Organic Vegetables rose by 10.6%, those of organic fruit juice surged + 33.5% and 14% for the snack products. At present, nearly 13% of Fruits & Vegetables and nearly 5% of all food sold in the country are organic.

 

 

 

This growth in demand leads to other problems, the US organic production is below requirements. But the sector to meet the challenge by expanding production and improving supply. This growth will create significant opportunities for farmers and revitalize rural America.
