Winter has arrived suddenly and heavy rains, strong winds and snowfall has caused disturbances in Egypt, Israel and Lebanon.
In Egypt, the storm sank a ship, disrupted shipping in the Suez Canal and caused the closure of certain ports.
The snow fell on Golan, Damascus in Syria and Jordan.
In Israel, the weather has caused damage estimated at NIS 20 million (5.5 million dollars) to agriculture. Greenhouses collapsed or roofing uprooted, many fruits and vegetables were exposed to cold and wind.
According to the Association of Producers of vegetables, some products may not be good enough for export.
