The 2020 EU Agricultural Outlook conference is scheduled online
Agriculture and Rural Development, the Commission department responsible for the EU's agricultural and rural development policy, as well as deals with all aspects of common agricultural policy (CAP), organizes its annual event The 2020 EU Agricultural Outlook conference.
This year's conference will reflect the lessons learned from the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and explore paths towards to a green recovery. It will also provide an opportunity to present and discuss the results of the "Farmers of the future" foresight study, which aims to identify potential future professional roles for farmers in 2040 and to explore the possible implications for relevant EU policies.
This event is organized for broad exchanges between stakeholders on the prospects of the market, including the political framework and uncertainties surrounded with the developments of the market over the next ten years. Every year the conference is timed to coincide with the publication of the annual report on market prospects.
The 2020 EU Agricultural Outlook 2020 conference will be held on December 16-17, 2020 in the format of an online conference. The event will take place in Belgium with the following languages English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Polish.
A new innovative format in which a length of the conference will be reduced to 2 noon is being developed due to the situation related with the COVID-19 crisis.
