Kyrgyzstan's banana exports to Uzbekistan quadruple in 2024

Kyrgyzstan saw a sharp rise in banana exports to Uzbekistan in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Between January and November, the country shipped 169 tons of bananas worth $80,300 — more than four times the volume exported during the same period in 2023, which stood at 39.4 tons valued at $19,700.

On average, Kyrgyzstan sells bananas to Uzbekistan at $481 per ton.
