Demand for champignons has started to go down in Poland
According to the market research specialists, the highest demand for champignons is usually observed at the end of December (Christmas time). Due to active demand, prices for mushrooms could be increased up to 100% from the initial ones during this period. On Christmas Eve 2013 wholesale prices for champignons has grown up to 2,05 EUROkg. In January 2014 demand for mushrooms has started to go down, which is typical for this kind of vegetables. At the current moment prices for high quality champignons comprise 1,3 – 1,33 EUROkg.
