Taiwan has more than doubled its exports of mangoes

Excellent performance , volume and value of exports of Taiwanese mangoes during the 1st semester 2015 .

AFA ( Agriculture and Food Agency ) announced that the country had exported 3607 tons of mangoes during the 1st half of 2015. Therefore an increase of 107 % compared to the same period last year. In value , these shipments totaled USD 12.86 million , an increase of 135% .

The total volume of mango exports could exceed 10 000 tonnes this year , down from just over 6,000 tonnes last year.

Taiwan exports its mangoes to China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore, which together represent 90 % of the volume sold abroad .
