The "selfies" of French apple producers bloom
FJ
The French apple producers imitate their Polish colleagues by sending on social networks "selfies" or photos of themselves in the process of biting an apple.
Initiative of Sauvaitre Daniel, president of the ANPP (National Association Apples Pears) and producer in Reignac (Charente department), the operation "My apple for apple" asked French apple producers to self-photograph during chewing an apple and share this self-portrait on the Facebook page and Twitter account, which was commissioned for the occasion.
This aims to encourage French consume 1 French apple a day for 1 year. The embargo imposed by Russia (where 35 to 40 000 tonnes of French apples or 3-4% of production was exported) will change the landscape of international trade and lead to mass arrivals from all sources.
