In 2021, Peruvian non-traditional exports, which include agriculture, chemicals, fisheries, textiles, iron and steel, reached a record of $16,367 million, according to the Peruvian Foreign Trade Society (Comex Peru).
Peruvian agricultural exports reached $9,172 million in 2021, which means an increase of 18.1% YOY.
The products which presented the most significant increase within the category were grapes, $1,255 million (+21.3%); blueberries, $1,202 million (+22.2%); avocados, $1.049 million (+38.7%) asparagus, (fresh and chilled), $404 million (+5.1%); mangoes, $325 million (+15.1%).
The main destinations for non-traditional supplies were the United States with $2,727 million (+11.7%); the Netherlands, $1,336 million (+20.4%); Spain, $498 million (+11.4%); United Kingdom, $363 million (+11.3%); Chile, $354 million (+63.6%); Hong Kong, $286 million (+80.2%).
